Each of the three sizes refers to a different origin of Dutch drinking water, and the shape of the bottle tells you which. This is the Ground Water: the tallest and narrowest of the three, referring to water pumped up from deep in the ground.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003eTerracotta cools the water by itself\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe carafe is thrown from unglazed stoneware. That material takes up a little water, which evaporates on the outside, and it is precisely that evaporation which draws heat out of the contents. The water inside therefore stays cooler than the room around it, with no fridge and no ice. Dutch tap water is of excellent quality, thousands of times cheaper than bottled water, and it saves a great deal of plastic and transport.
