About Printworks

The Swedish brand Printworks creates design and lifestyle products for the home. Their collection consists of functional and decorative accessories, which bring people closer together. Everyday objects are transformed into items that invite us to spend more time together and rediscover connection.

History and Philosophy

Printworks was founded in 2017 in Stockholm by Annette Gårdö and Patrik Westerdahl. They observed a societal shift. The world seemed to be moving faster and faster, and the time we spent together seemed to be dwindling. The digital world seemed to connect us, yet at the same time, it also disconnected us. They longed for moments that felt slower, warmer, and more real.
They decided to say goodbye to their careers in advertising and establish the Printworks brand: a brand that refers to nostalgia and the joy of the analogue. Browsing through a photo album together or playing a board game together fosters real contact and connection. Classic objects were given a contemporary and beautiful design, such as photo albums with various themes, board games like backgammon and chess sets, and the Essentials, in which various kitchen products are stored in a book format. These are beautiful objects that enhance your interior and that you will want to display. They invite conversation and connection.
