Suite702 x Martens & Martens Bath Mat 50x80 | Toffee & Turquoise

This bath mat of 50 x 80 cm comes from the Martens & Martens collection for the Dutch brand Suite702. It is made from organic cotton with combed yarns, which gives it a firm, compact feel while keeping it exceptionally soft. At 1000 grams per m² it is almost twice as heavy as the towels in the same line — heavy enough to stay put, and thick enough to feel properly dry underfoot.

Toffee and turquoise

The bath mat itself is beige. On one side a wide toffee stripe runs from top to bottom, on the other a narrow turquoise one. As with the rest of the Martens & Martens collection the two sides are different, so you can turn it over for a different accent.

Martens & Martens and Colors on the Beach

Martens & Martens is the family studio of Dutch graphic designer and typographer Karel Martens and his children. The line is based on his art project Colors on the Beach, created in Le Havre in 2017. Karel Martens painted the beach huts there with coloured stripes of varying widths, and the colour combinations of those huts return in the textiles.
