Ichendorf Milano | Carafe Animal Farm | Water Bottle Hippo

The Animal Farm carafe is a water bottle with a glass animal at the bottom of the bottle. This version features a blue hippo. It is designed by Allessandra Balderischi for the Italian brand Ichendorf Milano. The Animal Farm collection incorporates various animals, such as a squirrel, rabbit, sheep, turtle, etc. The animals form a striking detail within the sleek shape of the bottle.

Design and Material

The bottle is made of mouth-blown borosilicate glass, a light, strong, and heat-resistant material. This makes the glass excellent for daily use. It is even dishwasher safe. However, for a long lifespan, handwashing is naturally better. Use it at home during meals for water, soft drinks, or other beverages. But it is, of course, also a beautiful object as a decoration.
Each bottle is handmade. This means that each piece is slightly different and unique, like a small work of art.

Ichendorf Milano

Ichendorf Milano's collection consists of handmade glass objects. The company has a rich history, dating back to the early 20th century in Quadrath-Ichendorf, a small town near Cologne. Master glassblowers created objects with precious ornaments. This continued until the 1950s when a preference for pure forms and material purity was adopted. This led to the creation of modernly designed objects.
Since 1990, Ichendorf has been located in Milan, where it has developed a beautiful collection in collaboration with international designers, which are produced worldwide. The collection consists of poetic design objects, created with respect for the material and the company's history and knowledge.
