Braun Projection Clock & Digital Alarm BC15-DCF | Black

The Braun BC15-DCF is a projection clock and a digital radio-controlled alarm clock. It provides simple and clear projection onto a wall, ceiling, or other surface. It is radio-controlled, ensuring it always displays the correct time. The projection clock has always been a classic product in the Braun collection. It is designed entirely in the Braun tradition, with an emphasis on functionality and usability.

Projection Clock

The arm of the projection part can be easily rotated to aim and optimize the projection. The projection itself can be rotated in 90° increments, allowing it to be directed onto any possible wall. Pressing the light button on the top makes the projection visible for 10 seconds. The LCD screen also illuminates for 10 seconds. With the included adapter, you have the option to keep the projection and the LCD screen continuously on.
The advanced LCD screen can be set to four backlight brightness options and is equipped with a 12/24 hour mode. It also features a crescendo alarm, snooze function, and is radio-controlled.

Radio-controlled clock

Via the DCF signal from the atomic clock in Frankfurt, the correct time is retrieved 4 times a day. The radio control function is suitable for countries in the Central European time zone within a 1,500 km radius around Frankfurt: this includes countries such as the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Denmark, Switzerland, and Northern Italy. The radio-controlled function can also be switched off for use in countries where this signal cannot be received, and the clock can be set manually.

Timeless design

Braun products are characterized by their clearly recognizable design. For six decades, Braun has been making products with an enduring design philosophy: quality, functionality, clarity, and timelessness are important values. The collection consists of innovative products with a timeless character and high quality. Future-oriented and designed to last.

Braun and Dieter Rams

Braun's design is inextricably linked with Dieter Rams, who was head of design at Braun for 40 years. He is considered the most influential designer of the 20^th century. Many of his designs are classics. He was also one of the first designers who strived to produce environmentally friendly designs. He believed that "design can and must continue to contribute to the protection and preservation of the environment."
His philosophy of design is best expressed in his most famous saying: "Less but better". This applies both to the clear design and to his pursuit of a world with fewer, but better products.
