Coatrack by the Meter Oak Plank | Wall Coat Rack | Vij5

Coatrack by the Meter is a beautiful metal wall coat rack, designed by Maarten Baptist for the design label Vij5. The basic design of this coat rack is as clear as it is functional. Hooks are laser-cut every 10 cm in a square metal tube and then hand-bent outwards. Coatrack by the Meter is available in 3 different lengths (20 cm, 50 cm, and 100 cm), which can be linked together, and in various colors.

Create your own composition

This wall coat rack can be expanded with various elements to create your own composition of the Coatrack by the Meter. With a connector piece without hooks, you can link multiple sections together, and with the corner piece, you can create bends in height or to another wall.
The oak shelf hangs on two hooks of the coat rack. This creates a space next to your coats for your keys, phone, or mail. Or use it for decoration with, for example, a vase, flower pot, or a figurine. This makes the coat rack even more of an eye-catcher in your interior. The oak shelf is treated with Osmo hard-wax oil.

Reference to the Shakers

The design of Coatrack by the Meter is a reference to the Shakers in America. This religious community is known for their craftsmanship and their sober furniture. Just like with the Shakers, everything superfluous has been omitted in this design.
The Shakers installed coat racks along the entire length of the wall. This concept is also possible with Coatrack by the Meter. The different lengths can be combined and linked together. This way you determine your own length. The system can also be extended with a corner piece, an oak shelf, and sections without hooks in 20 and 50 cm. This way you create your own Coatrack by the Meter! But of course, a single element also has a beautiful effect. And a stylish and functional addition to any space in the interior.

Vij5 is a Dutch design label for interior accessories, furniture, and lighting. Arjan van Raadshoven and Anieke Branderhorst are the initiators and curate the collection. The focus is on the product and the story behind it. When a concept appeals to them, it is translated into a manufacturable product, which is made with care for materials and by skilled craftsmen. They collaborate with well-known designers such as Floris Hovers, Maarten Baptist, Ontwerpduo, Daphna Laurens, and David Derksen.

We aim to deliver your order quickly. Orders placed on weekdays before 4 PM will be shipped the same day, unless otherwise stated. Sometimes delivery may be delayed, for example if a product is out of stock. In that case, we will inform you as soon as possible and you can cancel if you wish.

Within the Netherlands, shipping is free from €49,-, otherwise it costs €4,95. Returns cost €3,95. In Belgium and Germany, shipping is free from €69,-, otherwise it costs €4,95, and returns cost €4,95.

Returns within the Netherlands cost €3.95. You can cancel your order up to 14 days after receipt without giving a reason via the email from our shipping partner Sendcloud. This email contains a link to the return portal, where you can create a return label.
After cancellation, you have another 14 days to return the product at a PostNL point. You will receive the full order amount back, excluding any shipping costs to the customer. The product must be returned with all accessories and, if possible, in its original condition and packaging. We will refund the amount within 14 days of receiving the return shipment. For other European countries, a return fee applies, calculated via the Sendcloud link.
