Flower Power Sword Vase - yellow

A vase for the wall in the shape of an axe or a sword. Handmade from ceramic and designed by Jasmin Djerzic. At first glance, these weapons seem to be symbols of violence. But for children, these weapons are toys and an expression of creativity.
By giving these weapons the function of vases, they also gain the function of creativity, and lose their association with violence. Moreover, they give the flowers strength and life.

Jasmin Djerzic
Jasmin Djerzic is a young designer who produces his designs independently. His work exudes playfulness and recognisability. He is often inspired by toys, and wants to bring playfulness back into the lives of adults. The combination of everyday objects and functionality evokes wonder, and at the same time asks the user what value we assign to objects. He often works with ceramics, and uses a lot of colour in his work.
Jasmin Djerzic (1983) was born and raised in Sarajevo, Bosnia. He fled to the Netherlands in 1992. His successful graduation from the Art Academy in Breda in 2011 was the start of Jasmin Djerzic Designs. Today he still works from his studio in Breda.
