The Kaweco Classic Sport mechanical pencil is a compact pencil with a 0.7 mm lead. The octagonal design dates from 1911 and has not changed since. This version in Navy has a deep, saturated blue with gold-coloured details.

Small enough to always have with you

Kaweco's Sport range is built around writing gear you take with you. The name Sport dates from 1911 and came about because the pen was designed for sportsmen, military officers and people on the move. At 10.5 cm this pencil fits neatly in an inside pocket, a case, or onto a notebook with a pen clip. Your pencil is always to hand.

The push mechanism comes from Japan and works precisely and quietly. The wide barrel means the lead breaks less easily. Sharpening is never needed — one press of the button and a fresh point appears.

0.7 millimetres

A 0.7 mm lead is the usual size for writing and sketching: thick enough not to snap, fine enough for neat handwriting. Kaweco leads are HB.

If you want a broader line there is the clutch pencil with a 3.2 mm lead, meant for sketching and drawing.

Navy

Navy is a deep, saturated blue that calls to mind the openness of the sea. The name comes from the dark blue uniforms of British Royal Navy officers in the seventeenth century. Of the colours in the Classic Sport range this is the most restrained after black – dark enough to look businesslike, but with enough blue in it not to seem severe.

Besides this pencil the range holds a fountain pen, a rollerball, a ballpoint and the clutch pencil — all available in a range of colours. For travelling there are leather cases that protect against scratches, and a separate pen clip to fasten the pencil to a notepad.

Kaweco was founded in Heidelberg in 1883, making writing instruments of wood at the time. The brand is now based in Nuremberg and works with aluminium, brass, copper, steel and plastic as well. The octagonal design returns in almost every range and has become Kaweco's signature.

We aim to deliver your order quickly. Orders placed on weekdays before 4 PM will be shipped the same day, unless otherwise stated. Sometimes delivery may be delayed, for example if a product is out of stock. In that case, we will inform you as soon as possible and you can cancel if you wish.

Within the Netherlands, shipping is free from €49,-, otherwise it costs €4,95. Returns cost €3,95. In Belgium and Germany, shipping is free from €69,-, otherwise it costs €4,95, and returns cost €4,95.

Returns within the Netherlands cost €3.95. You can cancel your order up to 14 days after receipt without giving a reason via the email from our shipping partner Sendcloud. This email contains a link to the return portal, where you can create a return label.
After cancellation, you have another 14 days to return the product at a PostNL point. You will receive the full order amount back, excluding any shipping costs to the customer. The product must be returned with all accessories and, if possible, in its original condition and packaging. We will refund the amount within 14 days of receiving the return shipment. For other European countries, a return fee applies, calculated via the Sendcloud link.
