The Plissé Shoulder Bag is made from residual material from Luxaflex fabrics. It is a design by Niki Giling for the Dutch brand Koda Amsterdam. The residual fabrics from Luxaflex are normally used as window coverings. This allows the bag to be folded, giving it an elegant and luxurious look.
Haute Couture
Designer Niki Giling was inspired by the pleats in haute couture dresses on the catwalk. By using the pleats of the window covering vertically, a bag in a special triangular shape is created. It can be folded like an accordion into a very small package.

About Koda Amsterdam
Koda Amsterdam distinguishes itself through its choice of materials and careful selection in collaboration with designers. The collection consists of bags and accessories, made from residual materials from fabric manufacturers, such as curtains, tents, and upholstery fabrics. In collaboration with Dutch designers, they create beautiful products from this waste material, such as bags, throws, and cushions. They are made with great care in social workshops in the Netherlands. That makes every Koda unique!
