Proud Mary Flower Peacock | Hand-painted | Royal Delft

Proud Mary Flower Peacock is a hand-painted sculpture made of Delft Blue porcelain, consisting of four separate parts. It is a design by Chris Koens and Ramon Middelkoop for the Royal Delft earthenware factory (Koninklijke Porceleyne Fles). Proud Mary Flower Peacock features decorative Delft Blue peacocks on her skirt.

Hand-painted

Proud Mary is made using two different techniques. The smaller version is made with transfers. These large versions are hand-painted by the master painters of Royal Delft. The various decorations are a reference to the history of Royal Delft. This Proud Mary is extra proud thanks to the peacock decoration.

Delft Blue

This design originated from a passion for Delft Blue, and the desire to give this traditional technique a modern look & feel. Royal Delft has been producing Delft Blue products since the 17^th century. Proud Mary is a tribute to the history and tradition of Royal Delft. It is named after Mary Stuart II, the wife of Stadtholder William III. She was a great admirer and collector of Delft Blue in the 17^th century.

Mary consists of four separate elements: the skirt, the body, the collar, and the head. They are delivered as a fixed combination but are also interchangeable.

About Royal Delft

Royal Delft is also known as Porceleyne Fles. This earthenware factory has been creating high-quality Delft Blue products since 1653. It is the only remaining 17^th-century earthenware factory in Delft that still produces traditional hand-painted porcelain.
The artisanal painting is still central, but various techniques have been added over time. For example, the transfer process is widely used, where an image is printed on the ceramics using screen printing. This creates a high-quality product that is more affordable than the hand-painted collection.

We aim to deliver your order quickly. Orders placed on weekdays before 4 PM will be shipped the same day, unless otherwise stated. Sometimes delivery may be delayed, for example if a product is out of stock. In that case, we will inform you as soon as possible and you can cancel if you wish.

Within the Netherlands, shipping is free from €49,-, otherwise it costs €4,95. Returns cost €3,95. In Belgium and Germany, shipping is free from €69,-, otherwise it costs €4,95, and returns cost €4,95.

Returns within the Netherlands cost €3.95. You can cancel your order up to 14 days after receipt without giving a reason via the email from our shipping partner Sendcloud. This email contains a link to the return portal, where you can create a return label.
After cancellation, you have another 14 days to return the product at a PostNL point. You will receive the full order amount back, excluding any shipping costs to the customer. The product must be returned with all accessories and, if possible, in its original condition and packaging. We will refund the amount within 14 days of receiving the return shipment. For other European countries, a return fee applies, calculated via the Sendcloud link.
