Krokigluck Crocodile Jug with Sound | Water Jug Sage | Gluckigluck

The Krokigluck is the crocodile in the Gluckigluck family, the well-known water jug shaped like a fish. Like its brother, this jug makes a gurgling “Glug-Glug” as you pour. This version is Sage, a soft grey-green. The jug is porcelain and holds 1 litre.

The sound

As you pour, water runs along the hollow body of the crocodile, producing a deep, gurgling “Glug-Glug”. You hear it again when you set the jug down. It is a sound that never fails to draw attention at the table and surprises people every time. It puts a smile on their faces. Children love it too. Only the original makes the “Glug-Glug”.

The Gluckigluck's brother

The Gluckigluck shaped like a fish has been made for more than a hundred and fifty years. The Krokigluck is a recent addition to that range: it comes from the same pottery in Stoke-on-Trent, the pottery region of England, and works on the same principle. The crocodile is narrower and more elongated than the fish, so it takes up less room on a table. Together on a sideboard or table they make a fine pair. Even when it is not in use it is a focal point in the room.

Made by hand in England

Every jug is made by hand and passes through several pairs of hands before it is finished. There is a stamp on the base by which you recognise the original.
