Remember Uri Piccolos Portable LED Lamps | Set of 3 | No. 31

Uri Piccolos is a set of three small rechargeable LED lamps from the German brand Remember. All three have a grey base; the handle above it is a different colour on each. In this set — No. 31 — those are yellow, grey and blue. No cable to the socket, so you put them wherever you want them.

Yellow, grey and blue

Of the two sets this is the quieter one. The yellow lamp is the only one that really stands out; the grey almost merges with the base and the blue sits between the two in tone. That makes these three suitable for a room where you do not want strong colour. If you want more contrast, No. 30 with red, green and light blue is the livelier set.

Small, and all the more placeable for it

At H 15 | Ø 8.5 cm a Piccolo is about the size of a tea glass. That lets it go where a table lamp cannot: on a windowsill, between the books, beside a plate at the table. And because there are three, you can spread them out — one on the table, one on a branch, one on the bannister. Three small points of light do more for a room than one large lamp.

The same handle as the full-size Uri

Each lamp has the metal handle across the shade that Uri is known for. You lift it by that, or hang it — from a branch, a hook, the edge of a parasol. It is the small version of the full-size Uri: same shape, same handle, at a little over half the height.

Twenty hours of light, charged in ninety minutes

Each lamp runs for up to twenty hours on one charge and is full again in about an hour and a half — considerably quicker than the full-size Uri. Dimming is in three steps and the light is warm white (3000 Kelvin). The set comes with three one-metre textile cables, so all three can charge at once. Charging goes through the USB port on the side.

Outdoors yes, in the rain no

The Piccolos can come outside, but they have no IP rating — they are not splash-proof. An evening on the terrace or hanging in the garden is fine, but do not leave them out when it starts to rain. Bring them back in after use. If you want light that can stay outside, Oscar with IP44 is the better choice.
