Miniature Cyclist French Jersey | the Sprinter | Bernard & Eddy

This miniature cyclist from the Belgian brand Bernard & Eddy wears the jersey of France: white with the national flag. He lies flat on the bars, at full sprint. The Sprinter

This is the Sprinter: bent low over the bars with his head down, giving everything he has in the last two hundred metres of the race. Of the five riding positions the Bernard & Eddy riders come in, this is the fastest — and the mirror image of the Winner, who throws an arm up a few seconds later. Put the two together and you have the finale of a flat stage.

The French jersey

At a world championship or the Olympic Games, riders compete for their country rather than their trade team, in the national jersey. France rides in white with blue, white and red. In the country of the Tour de France that is a jersey everyone at the roadside recognises, even those who do not know the rider.

Laurent

Every cyclist by Bernard & Eddy carries a first name. Do you know who this one is? Laurent refers to Laurent Fignon, who won the Tour de France twice. In 1989 he lost it by eight seconds after the closing time trial — the narrowest margin ever. The rider who beat him that day is also in this collection: Greg.

About Bernard & Eddy

Miniature riders first appeared in the 1930s, when the organisers of the Tour de France wanted to put the national teams in the spotlight with a publicity caravan. They were largely forgotten by the start of this century, until Bernard & Eddy brought the tradition back. There are no sponsors or logos on these riders, only countries and symbolic jerseys. “Long live the flags”, as the brand puts it.

We aim to deliver your order quickly. Orders placed on weekdays before 4 PM will be shipped the same day, unless otherwise stated. Sometimes delivery may be delayed, for example if a product is out of stock. In that case, we will inform you as soon as possible and you can cancel if you wish.

Within the Netherlands, shipping is free from €49,-, otherwise it costs €4,95. Returns cost €3,95. In Belgium and Germany, shipping is free from €69,-, otherwise it costs €4,95, and returns cost €4,95.

Returns within the Netherlands cost €3.95. You can cancel your order up to 14 days after receipt without giving a reason via the email from our shipping partner Sendcloud. This email contains a link to the return portal, where you can create a return label.
After cancellation, you have another 14 days to return the product at a PostNL point. You will receive the full order amount back, excluding any shipping costs to the customer. The product must be returned with all accessories and, if possible, in its original condition and packaging. We will refund the amount within 14 days of receiving the return shipment. For other European countries, a return fee applies, calculated via the Sendcloud link.
