Miniature Cyclist World Champion | the Winner | Bernard & Eddy

This miniature cyclist from the Belgian brand Bernard & Eddy wears the rainbow jersey of the world champion. He throws one arm in the air to celebrate the win. At 54 millimetres he is small enough to work as decoration on a bookshelf or windowsill. He is cast in a zinc alloy and painted by hand, and his weight keeps him standing wherever you set him down. The Winner

This is the winner of the race. Just before he crosses the line he puts one arm in the air. Of the five riding positions the Bernard & Eddy riders come in, this is the only one that shows the outcome of the race. The others show moments along the long road to the finish. You always put this winner at the front, with the other riders on his wheel. Or set him out on his own, as a rider coming home solo.

The rainbow jersey

The world champion wears a white jersey with five coloured bands: from top to bottom blue, red, black, yellow and green. They are the same colours as the rings on the Olympic flag, and they stand for the different continents. Whoever wins the world championship may wear the jersey for a year in every road race.

Julian

Every cyclist by Bernard & Eddy carries a first name. Do you know who this one is? Julian refers to Julian Alaphilippe, who won the world championship two years running, in 2020 and 2021. An attacker who likes to make the race hard — and who crossed the line with his arms up more often than most.

About Bernard & Eddy

Miniature riders first appeared in the 1930s, when the organisers of the Tour de France wanted to put the national teams in the spotlight with a publicity caravan. They were largely forgotten by the start of this century, until Bernard & Eddy brought the tradition back. There are no sponsors or logos on these riders, only countries and symbolic jerseys. “Long live the flags”, as the brand puts it.

We aim to deliver your order quickly. Orders placed on weekdays before 4 PM will be shipped the same day, unless otherwise stated. Sometimes delivery may be delayed, for example if a product is out of stock. In that case, we will inform you as soon as possible and you can cancel if you wish.

Within the Netherlands, shipping is free from €49,-, otherwise it costs €4,95. Returns cost €3,95. In Belgium and Germany, shipping is free from €69,-, otherwise it costs €4,95, and returns cost €4,95.

Returns within the Netherlands cost €3.95. You can cancel your order up to 14 days after receipt without giving a reason via the email from our shipping partner Sendcloud. This email contains a link to the return portal, where you can create a return label.
After cancellation, you have another 14 days to return the product at a PostNL point. You will receive the full order amount back, excluding any shipping costs to the customer. The product must be returned with all accessories and, if possible, in its original condition and packaging. We will refund the amount within 14 days of receiving the return shipment. For other European countries, a return fee applies, calculated via the Sendcloud link.
