Proud Mary is a decorative sculpture made of Delft Blue porcelain, consisting of four separate parts. It is a design by Chris Koens and Ramon Middelkoop for the pottery factory Royal Delft (Koninklijke Porceleyne Fles).

This design originated from a passion for Delft Blue, and the desire to give this traditional technique a modern look & feel. Royal Delft has been producing Delft Blue products since the 17th century. Proud Mary is a tribute to the history and tradition of Royal Delft. It is named after Mary Stuart II, the wife of Stadtholder William III. She was a great admirer and collector of Delft Blue in the 17th century.

Proud Mary is available in various decorations, each also referring to the history of Royal Delft. To mark the reopening of Het Loo Palace in April 2023, Royal Delft developed a royal collection. The collection highlights the beautiful palace, the iconic peacocks, and the graceful fountain. The Proud Mary within this collection is unique and, for the first time, wears a pearl necklace.

Mary consists of four different separate elements: the skirt, the body, the collar, and the head. They are supplied as a fixed combination, but are also interchangeable.

About Royal Delft

Royal Delft is also known by the name Porceleyne Fles. This pottery factory has been creating high-quality Delft Blue products since 1653. It is the only remaining pottery factory from the 17th century in Delft that still produces traditional hand-painted porcelain.
The craftsmanship of painting is still central, but over time various techniques have been added. For example, the transfer process is widely used, where an image is printed on the ceramic using a screen print. This creates a high-quality product that is more affordable than the hand-painted collection.

We aim to deliver your order quickly. Orders placed on weekdays before 4 PM will be shipped the same day, unless otherwise stated. Sometimes delivery may be delayed, for example if a product is out of stock. In that case, we will inform you as soon as possible and you can cancel if you wish.

Within the Netherlands, shipping is free from €49,-, otherwise it costs €4,95. Returns cost €3,95. In Belgium and Germany, shipping is free from €69,-, otherwise it costs €4,95, and returns cost €4,95.

Returns within the Netherlands cost €3.95. You can cancel your order up to 14 days after receipt without giving a reason via the email from our shipping partner Sendcloud. This email contains a link to the return portal, where you can create a return label.
After cancellation, you have another 14 days to return the product at a PostNL point. You will receive the full order amount back, excluding any shipping costs to the customer. The product must be returned with all accessories and, if possible, in its original condition and packaging. We will refund the amount within 14 days of receiving the return shipment. For other European countries, a return fee applies, calculated via the Sendcloud link.
