Frida's Garden
Frida Kahlo returned to her childhood home in Coyoacán, a neighborhood in Mexico City, with her husband/artist Diego Riviera and painted the house a striking cobalt blue color. Today, the house is home to the Frida Kahlo Museum.
The courtyard of The Blue House / la Casa Azul became a lush garden where Frida grew native plants: shade trees, sturdy succulents, the flowers she wore in her hair, and botanical species she immortalized in her art.
