This image is a cover of Vogue magazine. It was designed by artist Helen Dryden for the Autumn Fabrics and Original Vogue designs edition of September 1, 1921. This issue was largely devoted to the "warp and weft of fashion". In this case, the textiles from which the styles of the time, such as the bouffant silhouette, were made. To illustrate the abundance and variety of materials available in autumn, Helen Dryden repeated history by drawing two women walking in a park in wide skirts and coats. Behind them, under brilliantly tinted autumn branches, a parade of horse-drawn carriages, driven by coachmen in color.
This illustration is a beautiful example of Dryden's "innovation for magazine covers". Helen Appleton Read, an art critic and Vogue contributor, described this artwork in a 1924 piece for the Brooklyn Daily Eagle as: "A stylistically refined combination painted in cheerful flat colors of French prints, the spirit of rococo from 1830, hoop skirts and tied slippers, pantaloons, ringlets, patches and powder, parrots and French poodles, and a touch of Picasso technique for modern piquancy."

About New York Puzzle Company

New York Puzzle Company was founded in 2007 by two college friends. The initial idea was to create a puzzle of the iconic New York City subway map. It soon became clear that there was a lack of puzzles with interesting images. According to the founders, puzzles should be interesting works of art. In addition to being a fun activity, they should also be able to be displayed and serve as home decor.

Within the Netherlands, shipping is free from €49,-, otherwise it costs €4,95. Returns cost €3,95. In Belgium and Germany, shipping is free from €69,-, otherwise it costs €4,95, and returns cost €4,95.

Returns within the Netherlands cost €3.95. You can cancel your order up to 14 days after receipt without giving a reason via the email from our shipping partner Sendcloud. This email contains a link to the return portal, where you can create a return label.
After cancellation, you have another 14 days to return the product at a PostNL point. You will receive the full order amount back, excluding any shipping costs to the customer. The product must be returned with all accessories and, if possible, in its original condition and packaging. We will refund the amount within 14 days of receiving the return shipment. For other European countries, a return fee applies, calculated via the Sendcloud link.
