The Applique Rock of Ages is a design by tattoo artist Henk Schiffmacher for the pottery factory Royal Delft. This square porcelain plate comes in two sizes with different images. It can be used as a plate. With the holes on the back, it can also be easily hung as a wall decoration.

This collection is a unique collaboration between tattoo artist Henk Schiffmacher and Royal Delft. At first glance, perhaps not the most obvious combination. But both use traditional crafts, which originated in a distant old world and were brought here from overseas. Both use ink to apply a unique work of art, with a needle in the skin or with a brush on bisque.
The Schiffmacher Royal Blue Tattoo collection consists of both hand-painted items and transferred pieces.

Applique Rock of Ages

During a severe storm in Burrington Combe, England, in 1763, a terrified preacher's wife sat in a rock crevice, waiting for the bad weather to pass. In her fear, she felt so close to God that she wrote the hymn Rock of Ages. One of the great themes that repeatedly appear in tattoos. The image symbolizes the last place a shipwrecked sailor can go. Many see this as the time of death.

About Royal Delft

Royal Delft is also known as Porceleyne Fles. This pottery factory has been creating high-quality Delft Blue products since 1653. It is the only surviving pottery factory from the 17^th century in Delft that still produces traditional hand-painted porcelain.
The artisanal painting is still central, but over time, various techniques have been added. For example, the transfer process is widely used, where an image is pressed onto the ceramic with a screen print. This results in a high-quality product that is more affordable than the hand-painted collection.

We aim to deliver your order quickly. Orders placed on weekdays before 4 PM will be shipped the same day, unless otherwise stated. Sometimes delivery may be delayed, for example if a product is out of stock. In that case, we will inform you as soon as possible and you can cancel if you wish.

Within the Netherlands, shipping is free from €49,-, otherwise it costs €4,95. Returns cost €3,95. In Belgium and Germany, shipping is free from €69,-, otherwise it costs €4,95, and returns cost €4,95.

Returns within the Netherlands cost €3.95. You can cancel your order up to 14 days after receipt without giving a reason via the email from our shipping partner Sendcloud. This email contains a link to the return portal, where you can create a return label.
After cancellation, you have another 14 days to return the product at a PostNL point. You will receive the full order amount back, excluding any shipping costs to the customer. The product must be returned with all accessories and, if possible, in its original condition and packaging. We will refund the amount within 14 days of receiving the return shipment. For other European countries, a return fee applies, calculated via the Sendcloud link.
