Schiffmacher Royal Blue Tattoo

This collection is a unique collaboration between tattoo artist Henk Schiffmacher and Royal Delft. At first glance, perhaps not the most obvious combination. But both use traditional crafts, which originated in a distant old world, and were brought here from overseas. Both use ink to apply a one-time work of art, with a needle on the skin or with a brush on biscuit.
The Schiffmacher Royal Blue Tattoo collection consists of both hand-painted items and transferred pieces.

Easter Island Plate

The Pacific is full of stories. Jacques Brel died there, Gaugin worked there, and in Samoa, Robert Lewis wrote the story of 'Treasure Island'. This plate depicts Rapa Nui. Easter Island. Inspired by the discovery of Easter Island by Jacob Roggeveen.

About Royal Delft

Royal Delft is also known as Porceleyne Fles. This pottery factory has been creating high-quality Delft Blue products since 1653. It is the only surviving 17th-century pottery factory in Delft that still produces traditional hand-painted porcelain.
The artisanal painting is still central, but over time, various techniques have been added. For example, the transfer process is widely used, where an image is printed on the ceramic using screen printing. This creates a high-quality product that is more affordable than the hand-painted collection.
