Tile Tattoo Shop is a Delft Blue tile from the Royal Delft pottery factory, designed by tattoo artist Henk Schiffmacher. The classic wall tile features a contemporary design, centered around Schiffmacher's tattoo art.

Henk Schiffmacher - Royal Blue Tattoo

This collection is a unique collaboration between tattoo artist Henk Schiffmacher and Royal Delft. At first glance, perhaps not the most obvious combination. But both use traditional crafts, which originated in a distant ancient world, and were brought here from overseas. Both use ink to apply a unique artwork, with a needle on skin or with a brush on bisque.
The Schiffmacher Royal Blue Tattoo collection consists of both hand-painted items and transferred pieces.

A portable tattoo shop. A minimal amount of stuff you need to be able to tattoo someone, anywhere. This was widely used in ports in the 50s and 60s. To prevent sailors from spending their money in the city, the tattoo artist would work in the port and on the ships themselves. Sometimes the tattoo artist would wake up at open sea with a hangover and had to go to the nearest port where he had to arrange his return journey himself. On this tile, a sailor is depicted being tattooed by Henk Schiffmacher himself.

About Royal Delft

Royal Delft is also known by the name Porceleyne Fles. This pottery factory has been creating high-quality Delft Blue products since 1653. It is the only remaining pottery factory from the 17^th century in Delft that still produces traditional hand-painted porcelain.
The artisanal painting is still central, but over time, various techniques have been added. For example, the transfer process is widely used, where an image is printed on the ceramics using screen printing. This results in a high-quality product that is more affordable than the hand-painted collection.

We aim to deliver your order quickly. Orders placed on weekdays before 4 PM will be shipped the same day, unless otherwise stated. Sometimes delivery may be delayed, for example if a product is out of stock. In that case, we will inform you as soon as possible and you can cancel if you wish.

Within the Netherlands, shipping is free from €39,-, otherwise it costs €3,95. Returns are free. In Belgium and Germany, shipping is free from €69,-, otherwise it costs €4,95, and returns cost €4,95.

Returns within the Netherlands are free. You can cancel your order up to 14 days after receipt without giving a reason, using the MyParcel email where you can create a return label. After cancellation, you have another 14 days to return the product to a PostNL point. You will receive the full order amount back, excluding shipping costs to the customer. The product must be returned with all accessories and, if possible, in its original condition and packaging. We will refund the amount within 14 days of receiving the return. For other European countries, a return fee applies, calculated via the MyParcel link.
