Wall Hook Alf for 5 Clothes Hangers | Oak Natural | Vij5

Alf is a wall hook of solid oak with five cut grooves. The hook of an ordinary clothes hanger fits into each groove, so in the space of a single hook you hang five hangers one behind the other. A design by Gustav Rosén for the Dutch design label Vij5. This version is oak, finished with natural linseed oil.

Five hangers in the space of one hook

That is the idea: the grooves sit one behind the other rather than side by side, which keeps the hangers neatly apart. Your clothes do not bunch up as they would on an ordinary hook, but hang in line with space between them — useful for airing a coat or a jumper, and practical in a hallway with no room for a wide wall rack or a standing coat rack. Many people hang several side by side: three Alfs are fifteen hangers, and still only three holes in the wall.

Oak with linseed oil, or ash in colour

Alf comes in two materials. The oak versions are finished with linseed oil: natural, walnut or black. Alongside those is a series in solid ash, finished with coloured linseed oil. Linseed oil soaks into the wood rather than sitting on it as a layer of lacquer: the grain stays visible and tangible, and the finish is matt. This Alf is the oak version with natural linseed oil: the lightest of the three, where the wood keeps its own colour.

With one hole in the wall

Alf is fixed to the wall with a threaded rod in two parts: one part screws into the back of the hook, the other into the wall plug or straight into the wall. No screw head is visible and one drilled hole is enough. The rod and the plug are supplied with it.

We aim to deliver your order quickly. Orders placed on weekdays before 4 PM will be shipped the same day, unless otherwise stated. Sometimes delivery may be delayed, for example if a product is out of stock. In that case, we will inform you as soon as possible and you can cancel if you wish.

Within the Netherlands, shipping is free from €49,-, otherwise it costs €4,95. Returns cost €3,95. In Belgium and Germany, shipping is free from €69,-, otherwise it costs €4,95, and returns cost €4,95.

Returns within the Netherlands cost €3.95. You can cancel your order up to 14 days after receipt without giving a reason via the email from our shipping partner Sendcloud. This email contains a link to the return portal, where you can create a return label.
After cancellation, you have another 14 days to return the product at a PostNL point. You will receive the full order amount back, excluding any shipping costs to the customer. The product must be returned with all accessories and, if possible, in its original condition and packaging. We will refund the amount within 14 days of receiving the return shipment. For other European countries, a return fee applies, calculated via the Sendcloud link.
