Braun Analogue Alarm Clock BC02 | Black & White

Braun Alarm Clock BC02 Black & White is a stylish Analog Alarm Clock. Its compact size and light weight also make it convenient for use as a travel alarm clock. The design is based on a late 1980s design, but now features a light function, a snooze function, and luminous hands. The Quartz precision movement is silent and accurate. The ideal alarm clock for travel.

Classic design

The design of the BC02 is derived from the famous AB 1 clock, designed by Dietrich Lubs and Dieter Rams in the late 1980s. It is characterized by its easily readable dial and the iconic yellow second hand, which is synonymous with Braun's award-winning design history.

Braun and Dieter Rams

Braun's design is inextricably linked to Dieter Rams, who was Braun's head of design for 40 years. He is considered the most influential designer of the 20^th century. Many of his designs are classics. He was also one of the first designers to strive to produce environmentally friendly designs. He believed that "design can and must continue to contribute to the protection and preservation of the environment."
His design philosophy is best expressed in his most famous statement: "Less but better." This applies both to the clear design and to his pursuit of a world with fewer but better products.
