Braun and Dieter Rams

Braun's design is inextricably linked with Dieter Rams, who was head of design for Braun for 40 years. He is considered the most influential designer of the 20^th century. Many of his designs are classics. He was also one of the first designers who strived to produce environmentally friendly designs. He believed that "design can and must continue to contribute to the protection and preservation of the environment."
His design philosophy is best expressed in his most famous statement: “Less but better.” This applies both to the clear design and to his aspiration for a world with fewer, but better products.
