Junglebox Rosy | Jungle Sounds | Relaxound

The Junglebox is a rectangular sound box with the sounds of a tropical rainforest that responds to movement. This version has a pink acrylic front. Walk past and you hear monkeys and birds — two minutes long, and then it is quiet again.

The sound of the rainforest

A motion sensor triggers the sound. The recording comes from the dense jungles of Malaysia: you hear siamangs — gibbons whose call carries for miles thanks to a throat sac — and mangrove pittas, with insects in between. The sensor also responds when the light goes on or off. Suitable for the bathroom, the toilet, the hall or a desk.

A front in pink

The front is pink acrylic, a shade that nods to the blossoms that stand out among all the green of a rainforest. Of all the versions this is the boldest: it asks for a place where it can be seen, not for a corner.

From the same range as the Zwitscherbox

The Junglebox comes from the same range as the Zwitscherbox by Relaxound, which plays birdsong. Both use the same motion sensor. If you have several boxes at home, you can give every room a different landscape.

1% for the planet

1% for the planet asks companies to contribute to protecting the environment. Relaxound donates 1% of its annual turnover to two environmental organisations. In Germany that is the Bergwaldprojekt, which works to preserve and care for the forest. In India, where the production facility is based, part of the donation goes to Sadhana Forest: an ecological project that refills groundwater reservoirs so that food can be grown and villagers do not have to move to the urban slums.
