Lexon Flip Mini Digital Alarm Clock | Rechargeable | Pink

The Flip Mini is the smallest of Lexon's three Flip alarm clocks: 8 centimetres wide and 68 grams. You switch the alarm on and off by turning it over — ON side up and it sounds, OFF side up and it stays quiet. Tap it and the display lights up for four seconds; that same tap is the snooze.

In your suitcase, without going off

For travelling, the Mini has a lock. Press the power button three times and the alarm and the display light switch off while the time keeps running — the screen then shows two dashes. That way it will not go off unexpectedly in your backpack, and the time and alarm time are still set when you release it again. The same button, held for three seconds, switches it off completely.

A design that has lasted more than ten years

The Flip comes from the British designers Adrian and Jeremy Wright and won the Red Dot “Best of the Best”. The Mini is the smallest version of that design: the same reversible idea as the Flip Classic, in a format that fits in your hand.

Charging twice a year

The battery charges over USB-C and is full in two hours. After that it lasts up to six months, depending on how often you tap for the light. The USB-C cable is included, the adapter is not.

Three brightness levels, and the date too

You set the brightness of the screen to three levels. The screen is off by default: it only lights up when you tap it, and goes out again after four seconds. That way there is no distracting light on your bedside table at night, but you can see the time whenever you want to. Tap it while the alarm is sounding and it will go off again six minutes later. Besides the time, you can also show the date.
