Lexon Flip Premium Digital Alarm Clock | Rechargeable | Light Pink

The Flip Premium by the French design brand Lexon is the version of the Flip alarm clocks with an aluminium body. You switch the alarm on and off by turning it over: ON side up and it sounds, OFF side up and it stays quiet. No menu, no hunting for a button in the dark. Tap it and the screen lights up; that same tap is the snooze, after which it sounds again six minutes later.

A tap on your bedside table is enough

The Premium has a sensor that responds to sound and vibration. So you do not have to look for it at night: a tap on the bedside table next to you and the screen lights up. It stays bright for five seconds, then dims for fifteen seconds and goes out. The screen itself is a Pure Black LCD — the digits sit on deep black rather than grey, which makes them calmer to read in the dark. You set the brightness yourself.

In your suitcase, without going off

For travelling, the Premium has a lock. Press the SET key three times and the alarm and the display light switch off while the time keeps running — the screen then shows two dashes. That way it will not go off unexpectedly in your suitcase, and the time and alarm time are still set when you release it again.

A design that has lasted more than ten years

The Flip comes from the British designers Adrian and Jeremy Wright and won the Red Dot “Best of the Best”. The Premium is the heaviest version of that design: the same reversible controls, but with a body of aluminium instead of plastic.

Charging twice a year

The 2000 mAh battery charges over USB-C and is full in four hours. After that it lasts up to six months, depending on how often the screen lights up. The USB-C cable is included, the adapter is not.
