Lexon Orbe Rechargeable LED Table Lamp | Glossy White

The Orbe by French design brand Lexon is a cordless lamp in two parts: a base and a loose sphere that a magnet holds in place. Nelson Fossey took his cue from the bilboquet, the cup-and-ball game — and it shows.

The sphere turns wherever you want it

The lamp head sits loose on the base and is held in place by a magnet, so you can aim the light upwards, at the wall or at your book. Lift the sphere off and it rests beside the base on the table; there is a flat spot on its underside so it does not roll away. A cord of 24 centimetres keeps the two together.

Nine light colours, one button

There is a single push button on the back of the base. One press turns the lamp on; clicking slowly takes you through the nine colours. Hold the button down and the light dims smoothly, and you release it at the brightness you want. If you only want warm and cool white, press three times quickly — do it again and the colours are back. After three seconds of pause, one more press turns it off.

Forty-eight hours on one charge

The 4000 mAh battery lasts up to 48 hours, measured at 75% brightness. Charging is done with the supplied USB-C cable and takes about five hours; the red light stays on while charging and goes out once the battery is full.

Happy to go outside

The Orbe is splash-proof to IPX4, so a shower on the balcony or a splash by the pool is no problem. Submerging it is not. Use it between 0 and 45 °C.

Three design awards

Orbe was the first collaboration between Nelson Fossey and Lexon, and in 2023 it received both a Red Dot Design Award and a Good Design Award from the Chicago Athenaeum, as well as an iF Design Award. Fossey is a French designer and interior architect who founded his studio Index Office in Paris in 2019.

Returns within the Netherlands cost €3.95. You can cancel your order up to 14 days after receipt without giving a reason via the email from our shipping partner Sendcloud. This email contains a link to the return portal, where you can create a return label.
After cancellation, you have another 14 days to return the product at a PostNL point. You will receive the full order amount back, excluding any shipping costs to the customer. The product must be returned with all accessories and, if possible, in its original condition and packaging. We will refund the amount within 14 days of receiving the return shipment. For other European countries, a return fee applies, calculated via the Sendcloud link.
