Lexon Tykho 3 Bathroom Radio | Bluetooth Speaker | Pink

The Tykho 3 by French design brand Lexon is an FM radio and Bluetooth speaker in one. The rubbery finish feels soft to the touch and keeps splashes out, so it can come along to the bathroom, the kitchen or the terrace.

Radio or Bluetooth, at the touch of a button

Press FM and the radio comes on; turn the antenna left or right until your station comes through clearly. Press the Bluetooth symbol and it pairs with your phone or tablet, up to about ten metres away. You set the volume with the plus and minus buttons. The indicator light shows which mode it is in: blue when the radio is playing, flashing blue for Bluetooth.

Splash-proof, so it can go in the bathroom

The finish all round and the flat membrane buttons keep water out. It can stand next to the sink, come along to the pool or sit outside on the table. Submerging it is not the idea, but splashes and wet hands are no problem.

Twenty hours on one charge

The 2000 mAh battery is good for twenty hours of playing. Charging is done with the supplied USB-C cable and takes about four hours; the red light stays on while charging and goes out once it is full. No batteries, no need for a socket nearby.

An icon from 1997

Marc Berthier designed the first Tykho in 1997. Two years later MoMA in New York added it to its permanent collection, and on 20 March 2000 it appeared on the cover of Time Magazine — submerged in a bowl of water, under the headline 'The Rebirth of Design'. It was the first time a design rather than a person carried an entire issue. The Centre Pompidou in Paris and Cooper Hewitt in Washington hold it in their collections too. The Tykho 3 keeps the same shape, now with Bluetooth and a rechargeable battery inside.

Within the Netherlands, shipping is free from €49,-, otherwise it costs €4,95. Returns cost €3,95. In Belgium and Germany, shipping is free from €69,-, otherwise it costs €4,95, and returns cost €4,95.

Returns within the Netherlands cost €3.95. You can cancel your order up to 14 days after receipt without giving a reason via the email from our shipping partner Sendcloud. This email contains a link to the return portal, where you can create a return label.
After cancellation, you have another 14 days to return the product at a PostNL point. You will receive the full order amount back, excluding any shipping costs to the customer. The product must be returned with all accessories and, if possible, in its original condition and packaging. We will refund the amount within 14 days of receiving the return shipment. For other European countries, a return fee applies, calculated via the Sendcloud link.
