Remember Design Pocket Umbrella | Neptun

The folding Neptun umbrella by the German brand Remember is a compact umbrella that opens and closes automatically. It stands out through its outspoken design and bright colours. The canopy carries a pattern of curved stripes, with every panel between the ribs having its own colour scheme. The colourful pattern makes for a cheerful bright spot, even in the heaviest downpour.

Open and shut at the push of a button

One press of the button and the umbrella springs open. Another press and it closes again. That may sound like a small detail, but it is what keeps you dry as you get into the car or unlock your front door: you keep one hand free for your bag, your keys or the car door. After that you push the shaft together by hand and slide the umbrella into the sleeve it comes with, in a matching pattern.

The Neptun pattern

Neptun has curved stripes, as though a piece had been taken out of a large circle each time. Every panel between two ribs gets its own colour scheme, so the canopy is built up from arcs that change colour. The curve makes it calmer than a straight stripe, while Remember's use of colour stays fully present.

Small enough for your bag

Closed, the umbrella is 29 cm long and 5.5 cm across. Small enough for a handbag, a backpack or a roomy coat pocket. That way you always have an umbrella with you, and a shower never catches you out again. Open it measures 58 cm in length with a 100 cm span: enough for one person with the umbrella in one hand and a bag in the other. There is a rubber wrist strap on the handle.
