The Precious Things jewellery box by the Swedish brand Printworks looks like an elegant book when it is closed, but it opens up as a storage box. The cover is bound in cloth and carries the title in gold foil on the front and the spine. Your jewellery stays neatly put away, and at the same time you get something good-looking on your bedside table, coffee table or bookshelf.
Six compartments for your small treasures
The box opens like a book and holds six compartments inside: three large and three small. Plenty of room to keep rings, necklaces and earrings apart. Just as useful for keys, pens, earbuds or other small things that otherwise end up loose in a drawer. The interior is lined in the same tone as the outside.
A trinket box worth leaving out
Printworks calls it functional decoration: everyday objects designed so that you actually want to show them. Closed, this box barely stands out among your books, and no one can tell there is anything inside. That also makes it a good gift for anyone who likes things tidy and beautiful.

About Printworks
Printworks was founded in Stockholm in 2017 by Annette Gårdö and Patrik Westerdahl. The brand makes what it calls functional decoration: photo albums, board games, puzzles and storage boxes that you do not tuck away in a cupboard, but are meant to be seen. You give them a good spot in your interior, which makes them stand out and get used more often. Quiet colours, careful typography, and packaging meant to be kept and used rather than thrown away.
