Zwitscherbox Bamboo | Little House with Birdsong | Relaxound

The Zwitscherbox is a little house with birdsong that responds to movement. This version has a front in real bamboo. Walk past and the chirping begins — two minutes long, and then it is quiet again.

Calming birdsong

A motion sensor triggers the sound of birds calling and chirping. Like a walk in the woods, it brings a moment of calm in the middle of the day. It also responds when the light goes on or off. Suitable for any room at home or in the office — in the hall, the bathroom, and above all it is a success in the toilet.

A front in bamboo

Strictly speaking bamboo is not a wood but a grass, and it grows exceptionally fast — which makes it one of the most renewable materials there is. On the front you can see its typical long, straight fibres. The tone is lighter than oak, with a more even figure.

1% for the planet

1% for the planet asks companies to contribute to protecting the environment. Relaxound donates 1% of its annual turnover to two environmental organisations. In Germany that is the Bergwaldprojekt, which works to preserve and care for the forest. In India, where the production facility is based, part of the donation goes to Sadhana Forest: an ecological project that refills groundwater reservoirs so that food can be grown and villagers do not have to move to the urban slums.
