About Egglamp

Egglamp is a small lamp made from a real egg. It is a design by Dutch designer Ruben de Haas. He debuted his design during Dutch Design Week 2023 at Piet Hein Eek. Because this lighting is made from real eggs, every lamp is unique. The structure of the eggshell is beautifully visible when the light is switched on. On some eggs, the stamp is still visible. The eggs symbolize a new beginning, essence, creativity, and growth. This makes it a thoughtful and original gift with meaning and symbolic value.

Organic Eggs

Egglamp strives to use the best organic free-range eggs from local farmers, or organic eggs from supermarkets that are past their expiration date. For larger orders, the contents of the eggs are donated to bakeries, who use them to make various delicious pastries, etc.

Different Versions

Egglamp is handmade from white and brown eggs. The brown Egglamp provides a soft, warm light with unique natural imperfections. The white Egglamp provides a brighter light. Additionally, there is also the EgglampBOX. This holder for the Egglamp looks like a real cardboard egg carton, which holds 4 eggs. However, it is made of 1 kg of cement and is available in 5 colors: Classic, Mint, Sky, Rose and Corn. Combine it with a white or brown Egglamp for a unique table lamp.
