Satellitebox Forest Brook Oak | Little House with Nature Sounds | Relaxound

The Satellitebox is a small house with the sound of a single bird, or another calming sound from nature. This version plays the sound of a forest brook and has a front in real oak. Walk past and the sound begins — a minute long, and then it is quiet again. The sensor also responds to light. The Satellitebox charges over a USB-C cable.

The forest brook

Running water is one of the few sounds almost everyone finds calming. That comes down to how it is built: a brook makes countless tones all at once, without rhythm and without pattern, and your brain has nothing to do with it. So it covers other noises without drawing attention to itself — useful in a study, or a hallway where sound carries.

A front in real wood

The front is made of real oak, not veneer or a printed wood effect. The grain of the natural wood runs differently on every one, so no two Satelliteboxes are quite alike. It is the same wood as the Zwitscherbox in oak. Together they make a fine pair if you want to use them side by side.

On its own or with the Zwitscherbox

The Satellitebox has the same shape as the Zwitscherbox, only smaller. Where the Zwitscherbox plays a whole wood, the Satellitebox Forest Brook plays a single sound. Use it on its own, or combine it with the Zwitscherbox: then you hear the wood, with water running underneath. Spread a few around the room and you have a soundscape of your own.

1% for the planet

1% for the planet asks companies to contribute to protecting the environment. Relaxound donates 1% of its annual turnover to two environmental organisations. In Germany that is the Bergwaldprojekt, which works to preserve and care for the forest. In India, where the production facility is based, part of the donation goes to Sadhana Forest: an ecological project that refills groundwater reservoirs so that food can be grown and villagers do not have to move to the urban slums.
