Sonnenglas Classic | Rechargeable Solar Lamp | Mason Jar

Sonnenglas Classic is a rechargeable solar-powered lamp. Modern technology is combined with a nostalgic design in the shape of a preserving jar. This sustainable lamp is made in South Africa and was originally developed as safe lighting for areas without electricity. Sonnenglas is produced in an ecologically responsible manner on a Fair-Trade basis in South Africa.

Solar Energy

During the day, this LED lamp charges in the sun. In the evening, when it gets dark, it automatically switches on and in the morning, as soon as it gets light, it switches off again. An ideal lamp for the garden or on the balcony. Hang it from a tree or a parasol. Use it as mood lighting on the table. Or take it with you on holiday.

Preserving Jar with Lighting

Sonnenglas is designed in the shape of a preserving jar. You can put your own items inside the glass jar. Fill it with sand from your beach holiday or a beautiful shell. Or collect beautiful twigs or leaves from your walk in the forest. Create your own unique Sonnenglas!

Sonnenglas Classic has a capacity of 1 litre. When fully charged, it has up to 100 hours of light. In addition to solar energy, it can also be charged with a USB cable. A handy battery indicator shows how full the battery is.

Ecological design

Sonnenglas stands for sustainability and quality. They see it as their responsibility to protect our planet and to leave it in a better state than we found it. Sonnenglas has been developed to the highest quality standards for this purpose. By offering and guaranteeing a maximum lifespan, it leaves the smallest possible ecological footprint. For example, it comes with a standard 1-year warranty, but you can easily extend the warranty to 2 years by registering it using the unique serial number on the white sticker on the bottom of the lantern. This also entitles you to full support after the warranty expires. Register your Sonnenglas via this link: https://sonnenglas.net/nl/warranty

Fair Trade

Sonnenglas is produced in a socially sustainable way according to strict Fairtrade standards. Sonnenglas was developed in the Townships of South Africa. Since then, the project has been directly linked to the lives of the people who produce it. Stable jobs are created in the factory in South Africa. This provides stability and perspective for unemployed young people from disadvantaged areas in Johannesburg. In this way, the light of Sonnenglas also shines on the lives of these people, who make the most of themselves thanks to their inventiveness and zest for life.

Sonnenglas is largely produced by hand. This guarantees high quality and an exceptionally long lifespan. Sonnenglas is a true South African success story! Sonnenglas brings light to your home or garden. And with its purchase, you bring light to the Townships in Johannesburg. Light for light!
